El Dissabte per la nit tingué lloc l'acte
d'entrega dels Premis Ciutat de Carlet 2010. A mi se me donava el

it per Dn.Santiago Grisolia, Presidente del Consell Valencià de Cultura, Premi Príncep d'Asturies i Medalla d'Or al Mèrit en la Investigació i l'Educació Universitària.Per a mi va ser una nit màgica, la més emotiva que he viscut fins ara, una nit per la que paga la pena estar viu, no pel premi en sí, sino per tot el que envoltava l'acte:
vore a tota la meua familia i als qui m'estimen tan contents, el que reservaren a Dn.Santiago Grisolia per a que fóra ell qui m'entregara el Premi. Per a mi va ser molt emotiu estar amb tan il·lustre científic, probablement el millor científic valencià dels últims 50 anys, amb un prestigi internacional enorme, Premi Príncep d'Asturies i un llarguíssim etcetera al seu currículum, és una d'eixes persones que fa que el món on vivim siga un poc millor...
Vaig fer un discurs dabant de tots els presents(que omplien el recinte...), vaig intentar no emocionar-me al parlar. Crec que també per als assistents va ser molt emocionant escoltar-lo. L'ovació en finalitzar el discurs me posà els pels de punta, com he dit abans, va ser tot tan emotiu i tan màgic...

El Sábado por la noche tuvo lugar el acto de entrega de los Premios Ciutat de Carlet 2010. A mí se me concedía el Premio al Mejor Deportista del año 2010.
El acto estaba presidido por Dn.Santiago Grisolia, Presidente del Consejo Valenciano de Cultura, Premio Príncipe de Asturias y Medalla de Oro al Mérito en la Investigación y la Educación Universitaria.
Para mí fue una noche mágica, la más emotiva que he vivido hasta la fecha, una noche por la que merece la pena estar vivo, no por el premio en sí, sino por todo lo que rodeaba el acto:
ver a toda mi familia y a quienes me quieren tan contentos, el que reservaran a Dn.Santiago Grisolia para que fuera él quien me entregara el Premio. Para mí fue muy emotivo estar con tan ilustre científico, probablemente el mejor científico valenciano de los últimos 50 años, con un prestigio internacional enorme, Premio Príncipe de Asturias y un larguísimo etcetera en su currículum, es una de esas personas que hace que el mundo donde vivimos sea un poco mejor ...
Hice un discurso a todos los presentes (que llenaban el recinto ...), intenté no emocionarme al hablar. Creo que también para los asistentes fue muy emocionante escucharlo. La ovación al finalizar el discurso me puso los pelos de punta, como he dicho antes, fue todo tan emotivo y tan mágico ...

2010 CARLET'S CITY AWARDS
Speech Video(subtitled into Spanish)
Last Saturday evening the 2010 Carlet's City Awards ceremony was held at Giner's Theater . I was given the award for the 2010 Best Athlete.
The event was chaired by Dn.Santiago Grisolia, President of the Valencian Council of Culture, Prince of Asturias Prize and Honorary Doctorate at: Kansas University, New York, Wisconsin or Chicago among others.
For me it was a magical night, the most emotional night I've ever experienced, is worth to be alive in order to live that moment , it was not the award itself, it was everything surrounding the event:
to see all my family and those who love me so happy, Mr.Santiago Grisolia who was himself who handed me the award. For me it was very emotional being with such illustrious scientist, probably the best valencian scientific in the last 50 years, with an enormous international prestige, Prince of Asturias Prize and a long list on his resume, is one of those people who makes the world we live a little better ...
I made a speech to all present (who filled the theater...), I tried not to get excited when I was talking. I think also for the audience was very exciting to hear. The ovation at the end of the speech made my hair stand on end, as I said before, it was all so emotional and so magical ...
